Historic North Las Vegas is the original townsite of the city, centered on Las Vegas Boulevard North and the older grid of Carey Avenue, Civic Center Drive, Bruce Street and Main Street. The neighborhood grew from the 1940s onward, long before the master-planned communities further north, and it holds the oldest homes in the city.
