Anthem sits in the Black Mountain foothills of southern Henderson and was built from the late 1990s through the 2000s. It is really several communities in one: Sun City Anthem, the age-restricted Del Webb community for residents 55 and over; Anthem Country Club, guard-gated around its golf course with custom and semi-custom estates; and Anthem Highlands, Coventry, Solera and Terra Bella with family tract and semi-custom homes. Nearly all of it went up inside the 1995 to 2007 Kitec window, so on an Anthem call the supply material we look for first is Kitec: orange and blue composite pipe with brass fittings, usually visible near the water heater, under sinks or at the manifold. Those fittings lose zinc over time, clog from the inside and then leak, which is why weak flow at a faucet here deserves a look at the fittings rather than a new aerator. Elevation matters more in Anthem than in most of the valley.
