About Emergency Plumbing in Queensridge

Plumbing for Queensridge, the 987-home guard-gated community on West Charleston between Rampart and Hualapai. Kitec-era supply, multiple water heaters and recirculation loops, long service runs and estate gas loads.

Queensridge is a guard-gated community of 987 homes on West Charleston Boulevard between Rampart Boulevard and Hualapai Way in ZIP code 89145, governed by the Queensridge Owners Association. It was platted within the Peccole Ranch master plan, with custom designs on oversized homesites, and One Queensridge Place stands at its edge as a separate condominium development with its own association. Queensridge is inside the City of Las Vegas, so permits come from the city's Development Services Center at City Hall, 495 S. Main Street, not Clark County. For the city, the 2024 Uniform Plumbing Code with the Southern Nevada Amendments took effect January 5, 2026.

Local Knowledge

Common Emergency Plumbing Issues in Queensridge

Kitec fittings losing flow

Brass Kitec fittings dezincify, leaving powdery buildup that restricts flow and weakens the fitting until it leaks. The fittings were recalled in 2005.

Scale in multiple heaters and loops

Very hard water scales every water heater, tankless heat exchanger and recirculation line in the house, so larger homes carry more descaling work.

Hidden leaks on long service runs

Big lots put the service line and irrigation mains far from the house, where a leak can run under landscaping without showing on the surface.

Estate gas loads

Pools, spas, outdoor kitchens and fire features add gas runs outside the house, and a line sized for one appliance can leave others underperforming.

Under-slab failures

On slab-on-grade homes, a supply leak under the floor leads to a decision between rerouting the line and an overhead repipe.

Burst Pipe Repair in Queensridge

A burst pipe is a supply line that has split, blown a fitting or corroded through, and it keeps releasing water at full system pressure until someone shuts it off. Active Plumbing has handled these emergencies across the Las Vegas Valley since 1991. We isolate the break, show you what failed, and repair it once you have a written price.

Slab Leak Detection & Repair in Queensridge

A slab leak is a leak in a water line running beneath a home's concrete foundation. Because slab-on-grade construction is standard across the valley, this is a distinct and familiar category of work for us. We locate the leak before any concrete is touched, then explain whether a spot repair or a reroute makes more sense for your house.

Electronic Leak Detection in Queensridge

Electronic leak detection answers one question before any wall, floor or yard is opened: exactly where is the water going? Active Plumbing uses acoustic listening equipment, thermal imaging and electromagnetic line tracing to find hidden leaks across the Las Vegas Valley. You get the location, the likely cause and your repair options in plain terms.

Whole-Home Leak Detection System in Queensridge

Most water damage gets serious because nobody is home when a pipe or supply line fails. A whole-home leak detection system closes the main for you and sends an alert to your phone. Active Plumbing installs devices such as Flo by Moen and Phyn on the main line and sets them up for how your household actually uses water.

Local Tips

Emergency Plumbing Tips for Queensridge Residents

Give the gate your plumber's name, vehicle and arrival window ahead of time, and clear any exterior work or trenching with the Queensridge Owners Association before scheduling.

If the home sits empty for part of the year, shut off the main or have shut-offs checked before leaving so a leak cannot run unnoticed for weeks.

Take the build year from the Clark County Assessor record, then have the pipe material confirmed by inspection before planning repairs.

What Customers Say About Our Emergency Plumbing in Queensridge

Real reviews from Queensridge and nearby Las Vegas neighborhoods.

The water hammer from the washer was shaking the hall pictures. Arrestors at the box and a re-secured drop from the attic. We were in The Section Seven, Las Vegas. The house went quiet on spin cycle.

The Section Seven, Las Vegas

Google review, August 2026

A pinhole choir started on the 1970s copper under the master. Sectional replacement with dielectric unions at the water heater. That call was from The Section Seven. The ceiling stain is the last one we plan to paint.

Otto W.

The Section Seven, Las Vegas

Google review, July 2026

A tenant's toilet wax failed and soaked the ceiling of unit 2B. Same-day reset, new closet bolts, and a photo report for the file. That call was from Brewery Row. The tenant stayed and the claim never went to the carrier.

Queensridge Questions

Queensridge is inside the City of Las Vegas, so permits come from the City of Las Vegas Development Services Center on the first floor of City Hall at 495 S. Main Street, not Clark County. The city's homeowner permit guide requires a permit to replace a water heater or water softener and to repair or replace concealed piping in a wall, ceiling or under a floor, including emergency repairs.

Under NRS 116.2111, an association may not charge a fee for a person to enter the community to provide services to a unit, an owner or a tenant. The gate can verify and log entry. Give the gate your plumber's name, vehicle details and arrival window ahead of time so access goes smoothly.

Look at the water heater connections, any manifold and under sinks where pipe leaves the wall. Kitec hot lines are commonly bright orange and cold bright blue, though other colors exist, and the pipe and fittings are stamped Kitec, IPEX or KTC. A plumber should confirm it on site rather than relying on the build year.

Tankless maintenance and descaling typically runs $150 to $250 per unit in the Las Vegas Valley. That is a typical range, not a quote. Homes with several heaters or recirculation loops have more to service, and Active Plumbing gives a written price before work starts.

Section 507.5 of the Uniform Plumbing Code as amended locally calls for a corrosion-resistant pan at least one and one half inches deep, with a drain at least three quarters of an inch in diameter to an approved location. The relief valve may not discharge into the pan. Homes with multiple heaters need this at each one.

Active Plumbing is open 24/7, and technicians arrive in 30 to 60 minutes anywhere in the valley. Clearing the visit with the gate in advance keeps that window intact.
